Connecting the air ducts

We recommend the use of DIN 24245 folded spiral-seams ducts for the air ducts. If there isn't enough space for these ducts, flat channels made from metal or plastic can be used.

Ensure that the cross-sections are large enough. Higher pressure losses, from small duct cross-sections or a large number of elbows, will have a major impact on system performance.

Installation suggestions
For “K3” models, we would recommend installing a sound absorber in the supply air and exhaust air duct.

Thermal insulation
The supply air and exhaust air ducts (in the “K3” variant) in unheated areas are to be thermally insulated to a thickness of at least 50 mm (mineral wool, Aeroflex®). Outside air and outgoing air ducts must be protected from the build-up of condensation through the use of impermeable thermal insulation to a thickness of at least 50 mm.
